1. New Generation Kia Carnival

The Kia Carnival is known for its luxurious and premium feel and is set to receive a facelift in 2024. The exterior design takes inspiration from the Kia EV9 concept and the updated Seltos. While the interiors are yet to be revealed, expectations are high for a practical and cost-effective design inspired by the EV9 concept.

Key features include a large touchscreen infotainment unit with smartphone connectivity, a digital driver display, 3-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and other premium amenities. Powertrain options are likely to stick to the existing 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, generating 200 bhp and 450 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed torque converter unit.

2. New Generation Toyota Fortuner

The mighty Toyota Fortuner is set for a generation update in 2024, featuring an all-new design that emphasizes ruggedness. The interior is expected to undergo a complete revamp while maintaining the proven engine options. Moving from the IMV platform to the TNGA-F architecture, the Fortuner aims for a fresh appeal.

Engine options include the familiar 2.8-litre turbo diesel that produces 201 bhp and 420 Nm of torque along with a 2.7-litre petrol engine generating 164 bhp and 245 Nm of torque. Rumours suggest Toyota is developing a hybrid setup for the 2.8-litre diesel that promises improved fuel economy and torque assistance.

3. Tata Safari Petrol

The latest iteration of the Tata Harrier and Safari launched recently which includes a facelift with significant improvements. While the powertrain options for the Harrier and Safari remain the 2.0-litre turbo diesel, Tata has showcased two turbo petrol engines at the Auto Expo: a 1.5-litre TGDi 4-cylinder engine for the new Harrier and Safari and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol for the Curvv and Nexon.

The 1.5-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine delivers 168bhp and 280Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The Safari now features a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a redesigned multifunction steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats, ADAS functionalities, and a panoramic sunroof.
