1. Nissan X-Trail

Reports suggest that the Nissan X-Trail will lead the charge marking its entry into the Indian market. The fourth-generation model, unveiled in October of the previous year is anticipated to debut domestically in the coming year. The full-size SUV will be brought to India through the CBU route. The international facelift of the X-Trail has also been introduced recently. While the X-Trail offers multiple powertrain options globally, the Indian variant is expected to feature the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology, paired with a CVT gearbox.

2. New Nissan MPV

Nissan is collaborating with Renault and is set to introduce a new MPV to its Indian portfolio. Based on the Renault Triber, this compact MPV will measure just under 4 meters in length. Nissan is likely to make substantial modifications to differentiate it from its Renault counterpart. Positioned competitively, it is expected to share the Triber’s powertrain and underpinnings, offering a versatile and affordable option in the MPV segment.

3. Nissan 5-Seater Compact SUV

Scheduled for a 2025 launch, Nissan is actively developing a new compact SUV specifically for the Indian market. While a mid-size SUV based on the Duster is already in the pipeline, available in both 5 and 7-seater configurations, a sub-4-meter SUV is also in the works. Positioned above the existing Magnite in Nissan’s lineup, this 5-seater compact SUV is poised to cater to a broader audience. More details are expected to surface next year, providing a comprehensive understanding of what to anticipate from this upcoming SUV.
