  • Total sales for October 2023: 82,854 units up from 78,335 units in October 2022.
  • Commercial vehicle sales: 34,317 units with a 4% year-on-year growth.
  • Passenger vehicle sales: 48,637 units projecting a strong 7% year-on-year growth.
  • Electric vehicle sales: 5,465 units with a significant 28% year-on-year growth.

In the passenger vehicle segment, both domestic and international markets contributed to the positive performance:

  • Domestic passenger vehicle sales: 48,337 units which is up from 45,717 units in October 2022 with a 7% year-on-year growth.
  • International passenger vehicle sales: 300 units compared to 206 units in October 2022 which shows a remarkable 46% year-on-year growth.

Tata Motors has been actively launching new products with recent introductions such as the facelifted Nexon and Nexon EV and significant updates to the Harrier and Safari models. These updates have focused on enhancing interior and exterior quality, features, and overall value for money. Notably, the vehicles now come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a new instrument console, a two-spoke illuminated steering wheel, capacitive AC controls, and more.

Looking ahead, Tata has plans to launch the electric version of the Punch micro SUV to compete with models like the Citroen eC3. Additionally, they are developing the Tata Curvv SUV coupe, which will debut in its electric variant before the ICE version is introduced. A new 1.5L TGDI petrol engine is expected to expand the range of the Harrier and Safari models in 2024, likely making its way into other premium models as well. These developments indicate Tata’s commitment to staying competitive and innovative in the market.
