1. Maruti Suzuki eVX & Toyota Derivative
Maruti Suzuki has showcased the eVX concept with the production version expected to debut in late 2024 and launch in India in early 2025. This five-seater electric vehicle will feature a battery pack that will offer a driving range of 550 km. Additionally, Toyota is set to introduce a derivative of the eVX based on its 27PL platform.
2. Kia Electric RV & EV9
Kia is developing an electric RV for the Indian market with a planned launch in 2025. Kia is set to introduce the EV9, its flagship seven-seater electric SUV with a claimed range of 541 km in the WLTP cycle. The EV9 is equipped with ultra-fast 800V charging capabilities for rapid replenishment of the battery.
3. Mahindra XUV.e8 & BE.05
Mahindra is preparing to launch the XUV.e8 towards the end of next year and will feature commonalities with the XUV700. Following this, the BE.05 will be introduced in 2025 and will offer a new range of electric Mahindra SUVs.
4. Tata Punch EV, Curvv EV & Harrier EV
Tata Motors is set to launch a series of EVs including the Punch EV, Curvv EV, and Harrier EV. These electric vehicles are expected to offer a claimed range of more than 500 km on a single charge. The Punch EV will likely be the first to hit the market and will offer an eco-friendly urban mobility solution. The Curvv EV is a premium electric coupe SUV while the Harrier EV is an anticipated electric version of the popular Harrier SUV.
5. Honda Elevate Based EV
Honda’s plans include introducing five new vehicles in India by 2030 and one of them is an electric version of the Elevate set to launch in 2026. This electric vehicle is expected to offer a range of more than 500 km, positioning it as a competitor to upcoming EVs from other manufacturers, such as Mahindra XUV.e8, Maruti Suzuki eVX, Tata Curvv EV, and more.
